Morgan & Mom - Know The Hope

It's the month of Thanksgiving.  As I count my blessings, I think of you.  I thank you for listening to the music, and supporting our family's efforts to increase disAbility awareness and understanding.  Here's the latest:

The autism spectrum continues to shine this month.  I'll be helping out at two great events; "Artfully Aware" and "Songwriters for Autism Awareness".  Both events will feature the talents of some young adults on the autism spectrum. Check the schedule below for dates and details.

Thoughts and Thanks:

"Sometimes a flower blossoms out of season.  Patiently we wait for what He knows.  God has sent this rose here for a reason, so the world will be amazed at how it grows."- From the song "Blue Rose"

Our Blue Rose turns twenty this month.  It has taken Morgan, and autism, a long time to teach me that communication is SO MUCH MORE than words.  It can be heard in a melody, seen in a piece of art, smelled when we're baking, tasted in a treat, and felt through her gentle "head bumps" and hugs.

As we celebrate Morgan's 20th birthday and how far she's come, I also celebrate how much she's helped me grow over the years.  We are both forever learning what it takes to communicate and understand each other, and the world around us.

Here are some pictures of a song Morgan and I recently wrote for our upcoming visit to the beach.  Click HERE to listen to a preview of "A Best Day at The Beach".
