The purpose of this day-long conference is to empower congregational leadership, individuals with disabilities and their families, and disability service providers as each works to fully include people with disabilities in faith communities.
Do you care about people with disabilities being included in faith communities? Do you think the spiritual needs of people with disabilities are often overlooked when doing assessments and developing care plans? Does disability affect your life in any way?
Religious leaders and educators, individuals with disabilities and their families, and disability service providers are invited to participate in this inaugural event designed to accelerate congregational accessibility so that people with disabilities and their families can have deeper access into the community life of congregations throughout Tennessee.

This conference has been a huge success for the past seven years. Conceived in
2002, it is the largest disability conference in Tennessee and continues to grow every year thanks to continued recognition and support from community businesses and groups. The conference brings together selfadvocates, family members, organizations, and service providers to learn from each other, for exposure to best practices, and to participate in a statewide dialogue on important shared issues. Combining efforts for a joint conference has maximized organizational resources. Together the statewide community builds a stronger network able to empower people with disabilities, their family members, and those who support them.
