Hello,
Happy July! Hot, hot , hot! Hope this finds you doing well. Here's the latest update.
News:
Thank you VSA Arts TN for allowing Morgan Vice the opportunity to be a Teapot Diplomat.
VSA Tennessee has taken Charles Kellett’s vision of Teapot Diplomats and cultivated it into a program in which individuals with disabilities can participate. Charles Kellett, Program Officer for the International Visitor Leadership Program of the U.S. Department of State, learned from his international travels with the Peace Corps that sharing tea is a symbol of peace and understanding in many cultures. He now travels with his teapot as a symbol of unity to connect others through his Teapot Diplomacy.
Teapot Diplomats will be creating artwork with a tea theme, which will be sold with the proceeds divided. One third of the proceeds will funnel back into the program for supplies and materials. Another third will go to the United Nations' Zero Hunger Challenge. The final third will be funded directly to the individual who created the artwork.
We hope you'll visit our YouTube Channel (YouTube Tammy Vice) where we share Life with Morgan, a young adult on the autism spectrum. Family moments, love, laughter and learning through the Arts.
Know The Hope, Inc. offers autism awareness presentations to faith communities, schools, and places of business. Morgan & Mom share our family's experience through stories and songs to give you a personal view of life on the autism spectrum. For more information, please email: kthbookings@aol.com
Thoughts and Thanks:
Morgan and I have been watching her raised bed plants grow. Although she would like to plant a "Lot a Bunch" of pretty green things, we've learned that less is more.
